Lair of the Ettercap is an, easy to run one-shot adventure for character levels 2-3

Two nights ago the Ohlmer homestead at the edge of the forest was attacked. Four members of the family were dragged off in the night. Ginnie, the youngest daughter of the Ohlmer family, managed to escape the attackers and make her way to a neighboring farm to tell the terrifying tale of what happened. Shortly after nightfall spiders, some as large as a full grown cow emerged from the woods and attacked the Ohlmer’s, dragging their victims back into the dark forest.

The following day a group of neighboring farmers found the path the creatures had taken and discovered the entrance to a cave deep in the woods that must be the spiders home.

Adventure Hook

The famers have pooled their resources to hire a group of hearty adventurers, to go into the caves on the slim chance that there are any survivors to rescue and also to destroy the terrible abominations before they hunt again.
